    Just installed Centric Pro and can't seem to get the text color to change for the main body of the site. Admittedly I'm new to WordPress and CSS.

    I'm in the Appearance --> Editor section and scroll down to see this code:

    body {
    background-color: #13afdf;
    color: #2e2f33;
    font-family: 'Lato', sans-serif;
    font-size: 18px;
    font-weight: 500;
    line-height: 1.625;
    }

    Why when the color hex code is changed, nothing happens when the site is in preview mode?
    (I"m trying to make the font darker)

    Hi,

    your browser comes with a tool to help you figure out what css selector is responsible for the layout of a specific element.
    Here is a good tutorial on the Google Inspector:

    Hi Christoph,
    Thanks so much for your help!
    Turns out I was doing it right the first time, just needed to refresh the page to see the changes. Duh!!
    Have a great day and thanks for your time. 🙂
