    Good morning,

I am designing a website using Altitude-Pro, and I am struggling to diminish the space between the header (with primary menu) and the text (using the text widget).

Firebug or Firefox Inspector both point me to css class "flexible-widgets widget-area widget-full" and show a rather large padded area. When I decrease the size of this padded area in Firebug/Inspector from 100px to, say, 30px, the preview nicely shows a decreased space between the header and the text. However, when I make the change in the css file (line 1296), it makes no difference whatsoever when reloading the page.

Could anyone point me into the right direction how to solve this? Or even better, show me how to do it 🙂

    Best regards, Eric

You're doing the right thing by decreasing the padding. Do you have a caching plugin installed? Or does your web host have caching enabled? You may need to disable caching and/or clear the cache to see your CSS changes.

    Hi Julia,

Thanks for your feedback! I have double-checked, and caching has not been enabled, neither in the website itself nor on the server (it is a VPS I host myself). The strange thing is that other css modifications I make do show up on the website (eg I changed the font size of the menu items) so that ought to rule out a caching problem.
