My friend wants a flourish to show between each post on the home page.  I am using the Prose theme, and have added the image in an Image Widget in the After Post widget area.  It shows on individual post pages, but what she really wants is for it to show on the main page.

The first day I added this, I thought it was showing up on the main page, but then it disappeared.

    Any hints?

I suggest using the Genesis Simple Hooks plugin to add this image after each post.

Once you've installed and activated this plugin, go to Genesis --> Simple Hooks, and scroll down until you find the genesis_after_post hook. Paste this HTML into that field:
    <div style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://seedsowersthebook.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/seedsowersflourish1a-300x55.jpg"></div>
Save changes with the blue Save Settings or Save Changes button.

This should make that image show up between each post on the home page (as well as between each post on all multi-post pages, like category and author archives, etc.).

The image will also show up beneath a post on a single post page (it will show up below the comment box and below any comments). So if it's OK for that flourish to appear there, this method should work.

If you don't want the image to appear on single post pages, I'm not sure what to suggest...

    Thank you Wendy.

I copied and pasted the code just as you said.  However, for some reason it is showing the actual code on my page = not showing the image.  Usually this is a sign that the code is messed up somewhere but I cannot find an error.

Okay I got it.  had to use code as above except changing

    img src=wp-content/uploads/2013/03/seedsowersflourish1a.jpg

instead of spelling out the whole website and then it worked.

Thanks for helping get me to 99 % solution!

You're very welcome -- glad you got it working!

(I see now that my code was a little mangled -- sorry about that, I really thought I had formatted it correctly. Oh well. You figured it out anyway!)
