    Hi All,

    It's summer time and time for me to tweak my site a bit. I have two questions:

    1. I have seen so many sites with dynamic headers--meaning the header features a cycle of images. How can I create that on my site?

    2. When you look at my site, you will see the header title and tagline (Blackboard Dreams, English with Mr. Leon) IN the header. I would like to move the header title and tagline ABOVE the header. Can that be done? If so, please tell me how. 🙂

    My website: http://www.blackboarddreams.com

    Thank you so much!!!

    Hi Sean,

    1. I believe you mean that you want to have a slider instead of the static image, right?
    You can try Brad's tutorial:

    Display Image Slider In WordPress Header On Home Page Only

    2. I would say the easiest way to achieve this is to keep the title and description where they are and hook the slider into genesis_after_header.

    Hi Christoph,

    Thank you for your response. Just a couple of questions for clarification:
    1. Yes, I do want a slider. Before trying the tutorial, I need to download a slider plugin, correct? Which would you recommend?
    2. I reviewed the visual hook guide, but I am still not sure of what you mean by "hook the slider into genesis_after_header." Could you clarify that for me? I have played around with the code in the functions area of genesis and am able to hook text before and after the header but not sure of how to do that for a slider. Thank you so much!

    Hi Sean,

    1. Brad is using Easing Slider in the tutorial. I would suggest you follow along.
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/easing-slider/

    2. In the tutorial Brad is hooking the slider into genesis_header:
    add_action('genesis_header', 'wpsitesdotnet_slider_header_home');

    I would suggest hooking it in underneath the header. The first hook underneath is genesis_after_header.
    So it would look like add_action('genesis_after_header', 'wpsitesdotnet_slider_header_home');
