Hello friends.
Any one of you good guys can tell me how to remove the footer from this landing page? http://lanzatublog.com/orden/
Thanks a lot guys in advance for any help 🙂
December 15, 2014 at 12:04 am #134558Ren VenturaMemberYou're probably using a custom function for your footer and it's not being removed in the landing page template. Somewhere (i.e. your functions.php), you've likely included a bit of code that looks like this:
remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer'); add_action( 'genesis_footer', 'my_custom_footer' ); function my_custom_footer() { //* Your footer content }
That code removes the default Genesis footer and replaces it with the output of my_custom_footer(). The StudioPress child themes that come with landing page templates account for the default footer by using
remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_footer');
in the template file. However, when users replace the default function with a custom function, they need to account for it. Therefore, you need to add this to your landing page template:remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'my_custom_footer');
Just like you removed the default footer to replace it with the custom footer, you need to remove the custom footer. Just remember to replace my_custom_footer with whatever your function name is.

December 21, 2014 at 11:25 pm #135044coralseaitMemberHello Fonte,
Ah, I believe Simple Edits overrides the standard filters / hooks. You may want to install simple hooks and see what is firing for your footer and hook into that. Not fully sure on that, but I seem to recall reading it does.

January 6, 2015 at 7:44 am #136180FonteMemberAt first glance it seems to be easy to remove the footer as it is with other themes, I don't understand why is so difficult with Agency Pro.
January 6, 2015 at 8:23 am #136182Genesis DeveloperMembercopy the code of your page_landing.php file and paste on pastebin.com. Now share the link and we will check the code.
If possible then do the same process for your functions.php file

January 6, 2015 at 7:13 pm #136233Ren VenturaMemberYou didn't replace 'my_custom_footer' in the remove_action with the appropriate function name. The function you are using to customize the footer is
sp_custom_footer
(line 189 of functions.php). Therefore, you need to use this function name in the landing page template like I mentioned before. Replace line 45 of page_landing.php with this:remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'sp_custom_footer');

January 6, 2015 at 7:25 pm #136235FonteMemberThanks very much guys, it remove the credits which is great, but not the nav-menu.
How can I remove it??
Thanks a lot again 🙂
January 6, 2015 at 8:02 pm #136236Ren VenturaMemberI don't see any code in your functions.php that handles this navigation menu so it is probably there by way of a plugin. If it is and you don't have a way to remove it on the landing page, you can use this CSS to hide it:
.agency-pro-landing .nav-secondary { display: none; }
This would go in your style.css. The menu will still technically be there but it won't be visible.

January 6, 2015 at 11:36 pm #136262Genesis DeveloperMemberadd the following line in your page_landing.php file
remove_action( 'genesis_footer', 'genesis_do_subnav', 7 );
Note: Add the line above the genesis() function
