    Hey guys,

    I want to have a banner ad running at the top of every page on my site except the home page. I know where to put the ad and how to put it in... I just need to know how to stop it from showing on the home page. What do I need to do to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Add a new widget area via your functions file and use a conditional tag for the front page with the NOT operator !.

    if ( ! is_front_page() )

    hmmm, that doesn't seem to work for me, as the header widget is hidden too far up and I can't get it to drop down to show the ad.... I can already put an add there using simple hooks plugin... is there no code or anything that will just block the ad from running on the home page?

    Or maybe I am doing something wrong... but I added the widget and it is there, just doesn't show right.

    Okay, so I added the widget, using the code from the first box. It shows on the home page, but not anywhere else on the site... so what I do wrong that it isn't showing on the other pages?
