    My genesis slider won't expand to 100% of the div.

    There is a white space to the right of the photo. The photo is 1500px wide. max width of the slider and the max height are very high because I was trying to get the dang thing to expand.

    It appears to me your image is only 920x400 and the #content-sidebar-wrap is 980px wide.

    Yea, but when I upload the image it's 1500x something. I don't knwo hwo to get it to output it the correct width

    Any photo I put in there, does the same thing, it shrinks just a bit to short.

    Have a look in your functions file to see if there is something limiting the image sizes. Like this
    /** Add new image sizes */
    add_image_size( 'home-featured', 280, 200, TRUE );
