Hello,
I am need of your assistance, please. I have the Genesis Framework on my blog. When I updated the theme and the new version of WP, the pictures in the sidebar of my blog stopped working. I can see the "carousel" rotating, but pictures from my blog posts are not showing. When I checked the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin, it stated that it might not be compatible with my new version of WP. How would I go about resolving this?
My blog was created/activated in August of 2017. It has a Bel Canto theme, which has been retired and no longer gets updated. Is there a specific version of WP that the Genesis Responsive Slider would work with? What can I do? Also, the images that get pulled from my blog posts that slide/rotate at the top of my blog, are gigantic. This was also not the case prior to my updating everything. How can I adjust the size? What size would I move them to? I saw that it is listed in pixels.
I would appreciate your advice so much! At this time, my blog does not look terribly professional, and it is at a time (of course) when it is beginning to gain momentum.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?December 10, 2018 at 2:05 pm #224944TNDavis92MemberHello, Mr. Font,
Thank you for taking the time to view my blog on my behalf. I may not be using the correct terms or the correct plugin. The area that I am most concerned with is the sidebar on the right. Towards the bottom right, the post carousels are spinning, but not showing any of the posts as it should. Do you know what I can do for that? Thank you so much.

December 10, 2018 at 4:52 pm #224948Victor FontModeratorLooks like you're using the wrong url for the images. This is the image you are using:

The error I see is that the browser can't load the image. You should not be storing or trying to load images directly from the Genesis framework. You should be using the WordPress media library. If you really have these images in the Genesis Framework directory, they will be over written every time there is a Genesis update.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?December 10, 2018 at 7:15 pm #224950TNDavis92MemberMr. Font,
Thank you, again, for your responses! You are giving me hope. I originally paid someone to set up the blog, and so now I am learning as I go along. The carousel is supposed to pull the images directly from my blog posts and show images of them. Based on the information that you have shared, how would I get those images to the carousel on the sidebar? The images that I use in my posts are added via the Media Library. Thank you for your time and expertise.

December 11, 2018 at 4:34 am #224960Victor FontModeratorWhomever you paid to setup your site is not using the Genesis Responsive Slider for the carousel. The Genesis Responsive Slider does not have a carousel feature. Your developer used the Owl Carousel jQuery plugin. https://owlcarousel2.github.io/OwlCarousel2/
I'm not familiar with that particular tool, but I don't believe it has the capability to provide you with images pulled from posts.
I would either go back to your developer and ask them to fix it or find a plugin that works the way you want it to. I don't have any suggestions as to what tool to use.
