I am trying to setup a new site with the Executive Pro theme, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to format the pictures so the excerpt is not covering the picture!

Is there a way to format this so the full picture aligns next to the excerpt which is currently set at 30%?

    Thanks for any help!

    Short answer: No. 🙂

Size and crop your full-size images so that there is an area to the left (or right) that the 30% wide excerpt can cover without losing the context/message of the image beneath. (e.g. smiling face to the right, blurry background to the left) There are several examples in the Executive Pro demo.

If you set "Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices", the full-size image looks natural.
If you change the percentage width of the excerpt you don't have to recreate your images.
Makes responsiveness of the slide+excerpt+title work together seamlessly.

Well, I successfully edited my pictures to be right justified so the slide excerpt won't cover the picture, but this brings me to my next issue, all the pictures do not look correct on the mobile site bc the excerpt is not showing up, it just shows the pictures right justified which looks awful!

When I uncheck the setting to Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices the excerpt still doesn't show...any idea how to fix this?

    Thanks!

Tom - Sorry my site isn't live yet I am just hosting it on my local machine working on it in my spare time, I could probably take a screen shot if you need to see something, but the main page shows up fine in Safari on my MacBook, when I view it through my iPhone the picture is correct but the content is not showing up and I have the setting to where it should be showing up

    Thanks!

edited my pictures to be right justified so the slide excerpt won’t cover the picture

This will probably be problematic forever, especially for mobile.

Really would need to see the site and CSS code to understand what's occurring. You could check to see that you've installed the responsive version of the Genesis slider. Also examine your child theme stylesheet or other custom styles you've installed (1) for code affecting the slider/in media queries and (2) to see that you've not broken any media queries.

I'm having a similar problem with two sites using the Genesis Responsive Slider. No problems on the desktop version, however with the mobile versions the slider looks terrible.

The first one is http://www.golddustfarms.com. It's been live for a while and it was just pointed out to me. And the one I'm currently in the process of building is http://sproule.bar40media.com/ and has the exact same problem on mobile. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks!
