    Has anyone used that? I'm having trouble figuring out how to tweak it a little. It's not very functional, but ok for a basic gallery. I at least would like to put breadcrumbs on the posts so people could easily jump to a previous post.

    Anyone have a tip or trick for me? I'm new to Genesis and child themes but can handle simple .css. I'm currently using Foodie Pro.

    Is there a better portfolio plugin out there that would work with a child theme? (fyi, my site isn't live yet-I'm still working locally with desktop server)

    I would take the code from the Executive Pro theme and use it to create a portfolio.

    Thanks for the tip. Only problem is I'd have to buy that theme and I already bought Foodie Pro for it's other great functionality. I'll just take a look on wordpress.org and see if there is something that I like better than that other plugin.

    Also, just to clarify, the plugins don't have to be written for Genesis do they?

    No but there's no need for a plugin. How many CPT's do you need?

    Well, I'm wanting a fancy portfolio interface. 4-5 categories with several illustrations in each. A nice light box. Sort of like my older portfolio site; lindacookplantart.com
    I'm just creating a new site where the portfolio content is just one part of the site.

    I just found HUGE-IT Image Gallery that has all the bells and whistles. I'm just too new at this to trust anything not recommended to me. I chose Portfolio Pro based on Carrie Dils course on Lynda.com.

    I wouldn't use that plugin because the code in Executive Pro is better and far easier to modify/customize.

    I would also use custom taxonomies types which is included in Executive Pro rather than categories.
