Genesis Featured Post Widget Misalignment

Hello StudioPress community!

I have been struggling with this issue for a while now and, despite doing a lot of research, I remain clueless. Here goes:

I have the Genesis Featured Post Widget active on the sidebar of my Metro wesite, but the text and image are misaligned in some of the excerpts.

Here's two snapshots of the issue:

I'm not much of a coder, but this issue feels entirely random and out of the left field. This is my website: http://www.elementsofcinema.com/ which is running the Metro theme. The issue will only happen with some specific post excerpts, which means to repro it, you may have to refresh the page.

Also, this issue will cause and fix itself depending on the screen size, which leads me to believe that it is related to the mobile-responsiveness. Resizing the screen and observing the results may offer some insight on the cause.

Hi Gabriel,

The words in the post titles are simply too long, as formatted, to fit next to the images in the sidebar area. This forces them to be placed in the first line below the image. You can adjust the font size, thumbnail size or sidebar width to correct this.

Thank you, Tom. You are right, the words in the post title were too long. I contacted StudioPress (because it's their widget) and they did suggest an edit to the stylesheet that mitigated the problem by decreasing the margin size around the image. However, some real estate is still lost, and it just looks weird. I suggested to them that instead of aligning the post title with the image, the title should come first, then the image:

I think this makes sense, but it can only be accomplished on their end. What do you think?

You can do this (title, then image) with the Genesis Sandbox Featured Content Widget plugin.
