    I want to put the "Genesis Featured Posts" widget in my sidebar, but I don't see a way to pick which posts I want to be the "featured posts". It seems that all that the widget does is randomly pick posts to be "featured". This should probably be called the "Genesis Random Post" widget instead. Other than that, it's a nice widget because I can control the features (text size, color, etc...) easily in CSS.

    I tried Featured Posts by Nelio and this allowed selecting which posts you want as the "featured" ones. However, modifying title text size, color, alignment, thumbnail size...just wasn't that easy it seems.

    Hopefully someone out there knows more about the Genesis Featured Post widget.

    You can create a category named featured and use the widget settings to select posts in that category.
