Genesis Featured Page – Show Excerpt

How do I go about using Genesis Featured Page and show the excerpt instead of the first 150 characters? I have managed to add excerpts on my pages already. I wouldn't want to use Genesis Featured Amplified because of some styling issues.

Hi there,

You would have to rewrite the widget as a new plugin or as part of your theme in order to make it use excerpts for Pages.

I googled it since it was a concern I had for a blogsite and found a way around this using 2 plugins. It is explained in this post:

Uses the following 2 plugins:

Page Excerpt: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-excerpt/
Genesis Featured Widget Amplified: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/genesis-featured-widget-amplified/

So far, it worked for me. I am using Executve Pro Child Theme
