I recently installed Genesis Connect for Buddypress as I hope to add that functionality to a new site currently in production stage so it'd require adding IP and domain to your PC hosts file. That said...

After purchasing and installing Genesis Design Palette I now see that when both are active the home page disappears. When I deactivate Genesis Connect, the "next thing you know", the problem is (as Verbil Kint said in Usual Suspects) "poof. gone."

Working with Reaktiv Studios we thought that the conflict occurred with WP Construction Mode Pro plugin, we saw the same issue ,

Andrew (a knowledgeable and reliable source) said...

Hey Bill. The issue was due to the "WP Construction Mode Pro" plugin, which is using the same EDD updater class that Design Palette is. The issue is that they aren't loading it correctly, so it's causing errors for any other plugin (like ours) that *is* loading it correctly. I confirmed this by deactivating the Construction one, then activating ours, and it loaded without a hitch.

Could this same EDD issue be what's causing problem when Genesis Connect is active?

Do you need to install this plugin Genesis Connect for Buddypress?

Threads I've been able to find were dated so I removed it, thanks.
