    Hi, I've searched and not been able to find an answer, though there has been some discussion on this.

    I have a featured posts in the Home Top Widget in Foodie Pro. Here's the site:

    http://www.twohalvesofthewhole.com/

    The paragraphs aren't showing, it just flows into one long paragraph.

    Content Type is set to Show Content Limit at 615 characters.

    I've tried a number of different ways but can't display 615 characters with the paragraph breaks showing.

    In Genesis Theme Settings I have Content Archives set at Display Post Excerpts.

    I believe that the only way to get the Featured Posts (or Page) widget to honor paragraph breaks is to set it to show the full content. Excerpts and Content Limit both do not add paragraph markings to the output. Should be the same with the Content Archives as well. HTH

    I do the best I can with what I’ve got. (say hey on twitter)

    Hi

    I have exactly the same problem...

    Has anybody found a way to format paragraphs with the content limit ( or a workaround / other widget/plugin ) as having the whole post content will break my formatting.

    Hi

    I have found some code for your functions.php that seems to work:-

    //*format featured posts*/
    add_filter('get_the_content_limit_allowedtags', 'childtheme_custom_allowedtags');
    function childtheme_custom_allowedtags() {
    return '<p>,<b>,<br>,'; //add tags to this string that you want rendering...

    Now I just have to figure out why my read more button is more or less on top of the text content 🙂
