    Hi, I am running:

    Genesis 2.5.3
    Wordpress 4.8.3

... and seem to have a problem with the featured posts widget. Ideally I would like to display 3 fixed posts from my blog on my front page, but as the featured posts widget doesn't seem to be able to do this I have tagged the posts with a tag called "featured", then set the "visibility" option to "show" if tag is "featured".

Unfortunately it doesn't work, in fact no posts are shown. I have double checked and the posts in question definitely have that tag.

Have I found a bug or am I using this feature incorrectly?

    Cheers,

    Paul

I think we must have had some customisation done in the past because this does not seem to be an official Genesis feature. I have created a new category and assigned the posts I wanted to display to that category, and set the widgets to display posts from that and it seems to be working fine.
