I'm using Genesis Enterprise child theme and getting a double image for the featured image, in the /blog view, but just the single image in the single post view.

I can't see where I can fix this.

    i'd take a look at this: http://surefirewebservices.com/wordpress/wp-snippet-duplicate-featured-image-on-post-and-homepage

    i hope that helps!

Thanks Ozzy. I'm thinking that is not quite right, because the double image is not on the front page (I'm using the WP option of having a front page as a "non-blog" page and the blog on a blog post page http://deswalsh.com/blog which is where the doubling is taking place.

you can create an is_blog function or you can spell it out in the function, but the link below should work for you.

    http://pastie.org/5613939

i took the first part from https://gist.github.com/1189639 and just edited the function from http://surefirewebservices.com/wordpress/wp-snippet-duplicate-featured-image-on-post-and-homepage to reflect the new function you created.

I tried that code in functions.php and when I tried to save got this error message

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_LNUMBER in /home/<username>/public_html/deswalsh.com/wp-content/themes/enterprise/functions.php on line 69

I am interested in this, too. Although the above code from the first response helped with my homepage image, I am having the same issue with double featured image on a single blog post.

I just tried what Ozzy recommended for the issue, but the function had an error. I had to reinstall my functions.php.

WellReadReview - do you mean like the error message I got, as above?
