I have started to see feature images appear on pages (not posts) at random when no featured image has even been added to the page.

    Here is an example: https://malleeblue.com/mbmstaging/blog-and-content-management-service/

There is no featured image entered, but upon inspection, the image tag says class="entry-image" and [div] class="feature-image".

The image does appear as one of several on the page (further down).

Here is another example. In this case, the image has not been added to the page at all - yet it still appears - and as a feature.

Creating a new page altogether and doing a copy/paste of the HTML in the text editor seems to fix the problem - but why is it occurring at all?

When I check the source code in Firefox, the display lights up like a Christmas tree there is so much broken HTML on both pages. You've got opening tags with no closing tags, closing tags with no opening tags, and tags wrapped around each other out of order. You need to fix the bad code first before anyone else can help diagnose what's going on.

Some themes are designed to show the first image in a post if there's no featured image.

Hey Victor, can you show me an example of bad code? Code is not my forte and if I am to get it fixed, I need to know what the problem looks like.

    Thanks,

    David

You have so much bad code, it's hard to follow. Use Firefox, view the source, all the bad code is in red.

Thanks.... I guess. Better to know and fix it than to not know.
