    Hi
I am running Altitude Pro and am being fussy about the loading metrics of my favicon as per GTMetrix. I have replaced the default image with one of my own in the back end (I found setting the site icon through customise leads to the loading of two favicon in the source code). What I am consistently finding is that there is up to a second delay before a call is made to retrieve the favicon.
Is there anyway to force this call to happen earlier during page load, ideally in tandem with other calls being made?
    Thanks

The delay is probably because you're using lazyload for parts of your site. The favicon loads in 6.7ms. That's incredibly fast.

Besides, the favicon is loaded in the WordPress wp_head function. wp_head is forth function called in the header after the mandatory HTML markup for doctype, title, and meta. You're not going to be able to change this.

Thanks for the feedback. I tried disabling any and all lazy load options and it didn't make any difference to the delay. I guess I will just have to put up with it
