    I am building a new blog site. The old one is a .wordpress.com site. When I export/import I am missing a bunch of posts in the new site. There are 538 posts on the old site and the import only has 104 posts. Is this something to do with max file size?
    The exported xml file is 7.9MB.
    My hosting upload file size is 128MB.

    I have tried breaking up the exports into smaller segments by year. Hopefully that will fix the issue, but I have to wait on the client to forward me the download links. So wondering if you have any ideas.

    The built-in import/export is not reliable. Use a plugin like Updraft Plus, WP Migrate, or Duplicator. You'll get the right results.

    Hi thank you. Unfortunately the .wordpress.com sites won't let you install any plugins so I can't do this.
