I'm using the executive pro theme with a statich page and full width layout. I want to use the Home slider and content from this static page.
On front-page.php I've commented this line:
// remove_action( 'genesis_loop', 'genesis_do_loop' );
However the static content is now showing above the slider. What's the best way to fix this?
You want to remove the slider from the front page and use it on another page
Thanks for the reply.
How do i achieve that?
Link to the static page in question please.
It's still on localhost.
When you say "remove the slider from the front page and use it on another page", do you mean to use it as a widget on a custom page? If so, where can i select it as a widget on the static page because i don't see it in the blocks list to select.
You can't but what you can do is create a page template with a custom widget area and add the slider widget to your custom widget area.
Another option is to hook in another slider using a custom function.
By static page do you mean a single page?
Without access to a live site its hard to understand what you need help with.
What's the best way to create a page template with a custom widget area?
Thank you very much!
