    Hello - Working with the executive pro theme, and have made a static home page. But the current navigation background color isn't showing for the active page when the static home page is active. When any other page is active, the background color of the menu item for that page shows the current page color, but not the home page.

    the css looks like it should work for all of the pages:

    .genesis-nav-menu .current-menu-item > a {
    background-color: #64c9ea;
    color: #fff;
    }
    But not working on the static home page...

    Any ideas how to fix this?

    In your current menu, home item is set for this url ( http://deidrerandall.com/deidre-randall ) - change this to http://deidrerandall.com/

    I am also using the executive pro theme and encountering the same problem. The home page does not reflect the current page css styles as the other pages. The home menu option in the theme is a custom page and I changed the url to my home page, yet it still does not highlight? I cannot provide a url because the site is set to deny all ip addresses except for mine.

    Hello - what Davinder told me to do worked. Check the menu to make sure the url to the home page in the primary menu is to the site root -- http://www.yoursite.com/ with no file name afterward. Try that and see if it works.
    Otherwise, can't help you, sorry!
