I built a site using the Executive Pro theme just a few months ago (www.csfense.us) and went to login to the wp-admin and ended up with a blank page. The front end of the site looked fine, but the back end was blank. Bluehost said the theme was causing the problem. I had them change to a different theme so that I could at least get into the back end and put the site in maintenance mode until I can get some direction on how to fix the problem.

Sounds like a small code error may be causing this.

You could download a copy of the problem theme and compare it to a fresh copy or set debug in wp_config.php to true and post the error message here.

Exactly what I came to search for.

I have had two Executive Pro websites go down since upgrading to WordPress 4.6. I disabled Genesis and Child Theme from the cPanel and the website is back. Now to find the issue with the theme!

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to Genesis_Admin_CPT_Archive_Settings::__construct() must be an instance of stdClass, instance of WP_Post_Type given, called in /home/lindyb/public_html/sandbox/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/admin/menu.php on line 122 and defined in /home/lindyb/public_html/sandbox/wp-content/themes/genesis/lib/admin/cpt-archive-settings.php on line 38

How about on the menu page in admin. Do you get any error?

    Hi Brad,

The website itself is viewable. I can also send myself a test via the contact form and it works.

The Dashboard is a whitescreen with the above error.

I have to disable the theme in cPanel to view the dashboard.

I upgraded to Genesis 2.3.1 on my other site that I used the Executive Pro on and now get 404 error on everything that I click on the menu.

    Hi,

try re-saving your permalinks under Settings - Permalinks.
