    Hi everybody!
    I'm looking for a help...

On homepage I would like to add the first 6 posts to a Genesis Custom slider and then display the rest of the posts in a mansonry grid that I build with isotope + infinite scroll.

I could build the grid following this tutorial:

Infinite Scroll + Masonry in Genesis

I also added the slider but now the 6 post that the slider shows are repeated in the grid.

    Any suggest?

    Thank you!

You would need to code the front page loop so it excludes posts in the slider.

    Hi Brad,
thank you for your kind reply!

Do you think there's no other ways?
For example, is there a way add a class to the latest 6 posts inserted and then filter them via isotope?

I try to explain: I've already tried to use a costum loop for the homepage instead of the default one. Masonry + Infinite scroll work but the problem is that the custom loop works by loading all the post of the loop and then showing only the ones I set as post_per_page. This causes a very very slow homepage (i've got more than 1000 posts in my custom loop). When, instead, I use the default loop, it loads just the post per pages and then the other ones when I load more by infinite scroll trigger.

I hope my explanation is clear enough...

    Thank you!
    Regards,
    Elisa

Another option is to use a slider which includes an option to exclude previously displayed posts.

Also, if you look inside the front page of the No Sidebar Pro theme you'll find PHP code which adds classes to posts based. Will need modification to add to the first 6.
