    I added a "first name" field in my Mailchimp form, and now the fields in my header opt-in are messed up. The first name and email forms are merged as one large box. I've looked in the CSS to see if I can figure out how to remedy this and haven't come up with a solution. makeanddocrew.com

    Thanks!

    It looks like you've fixed it.

    Nope, unfortunately it's still broken. (See how there's just one long white box for both the name and email fields?) It needs to be two separate boxes. Plus, this isn't actually functional, beyond the aesthetics, because it's not capturing the name when it's typed in.

    Oh yeah, I see it now. Sorry I was looking in the sidebar. The value of the margin is set to a 10 with no px anything to say what kind of value it is and the browser is not reading it. I changed it to 5px and that looks pretty good. Like this:

    .before-header .enews-widget input {
        border: 0;
        display: inline;
        float: left;
        margin: 5px; <---try this
        width: 20%;
    }

    As for the form not processing the submission, i'll tinker with the form in my browser and see what happens. Maybe someone else has some thoughts?

    You might even like this better:

    .before-header .enews-widget input {
        border: 0;
        display: inline;
        float: left;
        margin-right: 10px; <--- this
        width: 20%;
    }

    If it's helpful to anyone else who might come along and try to solve this, I signed up for the form which fails and redirects me to the link that is in the form's action attribute. Then I try that form and it goes through. So, something is apparently happening with the front-end form processing although I haven't determined what.

    Brock,
    Thanks so much. That margin tip totally fixed it. I figured out the issue with the form was in Mailchimp. I had a merge tag screwed up.
    Thanks again for your help!
