I originally attached a reply to Dhuse who submitted a post on May 5th but no one has responded.
I'm using the Education Responsive Theme. In the theme's demo the Logo and the Primary Menu are responsive. When viewing the demo on an iPhone, the Menu drops below the Logo.
My web site is not working in the same manner. I have tried two logos. One sized 332 x 83 and one sized 1140 x 120. Neither is coming up responsive. I used ”Appearance” on the dashboard. Then ”Header” to select the image from my computer for the Header. I thought that by using this method, my header would automatically be responsive since the online Theme Demo shows everything as responsive and in working order. I didn't anticipate editing code or adding code just to make the logo work.
I also found the original Theme Logo file in my WP-Content folders and replaced the Education Theme logo with my own smaller logo file instead of going through the Dashboard. That logo is not responsive either.
I also found a few forum posts that suggest using Nick’s plugin. This plugin is not showing up on the WordPress plugin list. Is this safe to use? I searched for Genesis Responsive Header and nothing showed up.
Any word on why my logo (or theme) is not responsive? How can I fix this?

Hi,
The Education demo does not use an image up in the header, it's just the text that WP pumps out if you fill in the site title and subtitle/slogan/tagline. So I'm afraid that to get that looking spiffy, some CSS work may be needed. This is a very common issue, because no 2 people want the same size/orientation of their logo image, nor would they ever agree on exact placement of their image, and that's true of any theme.But if you'd like to try Nick's plugin, that may help.
It's also possible that official Studiopress support may help you with that, but I'm not sure.

David, I tried Nick's plug-in. I even had to add some code to "@media only screen and (max-width: 800px){" section. I still encountered problems with the menu overlapping the logo. I noticed that I had 5 menu tabs whereas the Education Theme demo had only 4, so I deleted the 5th tab and now everything looks good. Unfortunately, I can't use more than 4 tabs in the primary menu.
Today I discovered that my logo is invisible on my website when viewed with Internet Explorer 9 or older. I can hover over the place where the logo should be, click, and it takes me to the Home page. I converted the original .png image to a .jpg but it is still not showing up. Any ideas why IE9 and below won't display a .jpg graphic logo? Also, some of my jquery menus are not viewing properly in IE9 and below. On some pages they are viewed perfectly and on others they are not.

Sorry, no - I certainly can't give even a casual opinion without having a link to look at. And the number of factors and problems may go beyond the scope of free volunteer help, at least mine.
I can tell you this: as a professional developer, I've always had to tweak responsive code for a site's header. It's never the same request twice.

When I disable the plugin my logo becomes visible but unfortunately my menus become only linked list items and aren't very dynamic. The Genesis Responsive Header plugin (Nick's plugin) has made my header logo responsive.
I tried the steps in the link you sent. My logo changed sizes from it's actual size and my entire website disappeared except for the primary menu, logo and footer. When I re-sized my browser to see if the logo was responsive, the rest of my website reappeared (only in the smaller format). Unfortunately, I'm not fluent in css and I'm not very good at knowing how to use the Firebug efficiently. So, figuring out why most of my website disappeared after making the suggested changes is beyond me.
Thank you for responding to my post. I won't give up on using the information you have given me. It's just going to take quite a bit of learning on my part.

Right on. In the blog post I included a link to a site using the Education theme. If you follow through with the changes on your site you could then compare the style.css files to see what further edits you'd need to make to finish the process for your theme.
It does take some work and think-time, but the end result is worth it.

I did notice that my logo is more than twice the size of the one on your sample site as well as on others that are using the Education Theme. Could this be creating more problems for my site?

Yep, Firebug is one way, and probably the best way, to do that.

We loose a lot of detail in the Seal when we go smaller. You say it wouldn't hurt to downsize but will it hurt to try to keep the larger size? Does the larger size cause other things not to function properly or does it just mean that I will have to edit many more areas of the css?
Sorry for all the added questions. I can't believe that just trying to insert a logo (into this theme design) has turned into a mini nightmare. You had no idea what you were getting into when you responded to this post! Thanks for all the patience/support.
