Hi, I'm trying to create a site for my wife using Lifestyle Pro theme I purchased this week.

I first populated it with images and text from random blogs. (So don't let any of the text or images throw you, they don't make sense!)

My first goal is simply to mimic the format of the Lifestyle Pro sample theme at the Lifestyle Pro demo site here: http://my.studiopress.com/themes/lifestyle/#demo-full

The issue is that the Featured Images on the Featured Post #2, #3, and #4 do NOT respect the image size given in the widget for the Home Middle Widget. Like the demo, I've set the Featured Image size to home-small (266x160) but as you can see from the page I've created, the image sizes for the Featured Post #2, #3, and #4 are all different depending on the original image size in each of those posts.

Is this a bug? Is there a SIMPLE work-around, I'm fairly new to themes, especially Studiopress themes.

The site I'm creating for her, trying right now to mimic the sample theme, is: http://www.GracedOut.com

    Thanks, Greg
P.S. I also see the first green Featured Category bar title near the bottom of the screen doesn't appear but that is a secondary concern at this point.

    Hi Greg,

    try the following:

Install and activate the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails. https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
Go to Tools - Regenerate Thumbnails and start the process.

(repeated - Odd Christoph, I accidentally posted that as Private. Please forgive me. Below is what I wrote.)

    Wow, Christoph…! That worked!

So does it resize every image in the library (assuming I choose that option which I did) or does it make a SECOND copy?

Looking at my sample Media library, it appears only to have resized the image.

if that is true, does that mean that posts where we’ve used an image before will display a smaller image, or do posts already posted retain their original image display size?

(I’m buying you a coffee by the way at the link below!)

    Thanks, Greg

    Hi Greg,

    no problem.

It only resizes the thumbnails (in this case the featured image size)

The images you have inserted into post or pages are staying the same.

If you change the size of the feature images in the future, you will have to run the plugin again.

    Thanks again!

    Christoph
