Okay ladies and gentlemen, I have a dilemma that I'm hoping you can help with! I 100% LOVE Genesis and Studio Press. And I have sung their praises to everyone I know. Recently however, in repairing someone's site who got hacked, I discovered the Divi theme and Builder, by Elegant Themes. I was blown away. While it almost makes the need for a web designer like myself, obsolete, it also saves an amazing amount of time when creating sites. At first I felt ashamed because I literally didn't have to use any code to get the look I wanted (which, with my Genesis sites, always have a hefty amount of editing and adding code to accomplish my goals). But because of the time it saved me, I was hooked. Here's the catch though: Their customer support SUCKS. And I don't use that word lightly. It is beyond horrible! Which (as we all know) Studio Press RULES at! And as a web designer, when I have a question, I need an answer ASAP -- and StudioPress always rocks it (Elegant Themes on the other hand, I've been waiting 4 days and still don't have what I need!!!). So.... what I want is the convenience and ease of the Divi theme and builder, but through Studio Press/Genesis. I thought the Genesis Extender Plugin would have half-way provided that, but it has only given me serious grief ($119 spent, and I haven't used it once.... attempted several times, but found work arounds that were a heck of a lot easier). 😛 Is there like a "Genesis Guide to plugins" that will make it much more "drag and drop" to save time and energy? I CAN do the code, but if I don't have to, I don't want to. Things like: putting social icons in the menu bar or above the header; quickly adjusting the color, typography, layout, etc. If you haven't tried the Divi builder yet, it's INSANE! But again, their Customer Support will QUICKLY remind you that Studio Press rules supreme. So I'd love it if any of you have any hacks, plugins, tips, etc. for making my Genesis sites much more time conducive and user friendly. I'm hoping I just haven't dove into it as much as I could, and that there is an entire world of Genesis goodness just waiting for me! 🙂 Thanks in advance! - Carissa

So I totally just found the Genesis Palette Pro.... perhaps this is exactly what I am looking for?!?! 😀 (now I wonder if I can get my money back from Genesis Extender to pay for it???) 😛 (probably not, they don't seem too refund friendly) :/

Why not both. You can use the Divi plugin with Genesis.

Seriously?! I can use the Divi builder with Genesis/SP child themes??? I haven't tried it! (much less thought about it) 🙂 Thanks Brad! I'll give it a shot!

I think you can. Haven't tried it yet because i much prefer coding but its interesting. You can also use custom CSS with Divi builder.

You can link to the article if you like.

Thanks Carasmo! I copy/pasted (and fixed) the url to access the article. Very helpful! 🙂 It still doesn't give me 100% what I'm looking for, but it's much closer! 🙂 I think eventually I'll check out the Palette Pro, and perhaps all 3 combined will give me the quick and easy I'm looking for!
