    I'm using Digital Pro here:

    http://tinyurl.com/md55576

And I'm trying to add a new widget called Top Bar above the menu at the top.

I'm following the instructions from this thread here:

    Social Media at Top

The only thing I changed was 'enterprise' to 'digital-pro' in the part added to the functions.php.

    But it's not working.

    Any idea why?

Your top bar is being generated. In your case, you have a header with a fixed position. The header is sitting on top of the top bar. You have to give the top bar a fixed position as well and move the header down. Or change the position for the header from fixed to relative.

    Thanks!

However, CSS is not my strength.

Would you mind showing me how to do that?
