    Hi All,

I am using Genesis 2.2.6 with the News Child Theme. I am trying to get dates to appear on my blog without having to manually make them part of the blog. I can't find the settings to do so... 🙁 I'm sure they are there and I am simply missing them... Thanks for any help!

    Hi Ted,

This snippet from StudioPress should work for your XHTML theme:

    Hi Tom,

Thanks... I would rather not make changes to the code if I don't have to and I am unclear as to why this is happening as dates are appearing on my pages - but not on my blog posts. This leads me to believe there is some simple setting that I need to check or uncheck.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

I can't see dates for any pages you've published. For home page sections using the featured posts widget, be sure to select "Show Post Info" and include relevant shortcodes e.g.[post_date] By [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments]

For your blog posts and archive, there is no Genesis (or WordPress) setting to turn post info off/on - it's done with code or a plugin. You could try the Genesis Simple Edits plugin, but I think it's just going to undo a change that was made in your functions.php. (<--- have you looked in there?)
