    Hello, I am looking to change the default black color that all the titles in the sidebar have in the Daily Dish Pro theme. Any of the items I put over there like "About Me", "Search This Site", etc all have this black fill with white font. I would like to be able to change those to another color.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi Ksawyer,

    To modify the color of the black bars and the font as well, find this piece of code in your Style.css sheet:

    .widget-title {
    background-color: #000;
    color: #fff;

    font-family: Lato, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    font-size: 1.2rem;
    font-weight: 700;
    letter-spacing: 1px;
    margin-bottom: 30px;
    padding: 12px 15px;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    The two parts I've put in bold will change the colors by altering the hex numbers. You can find a color you like and it's corresponding value here, if you like: http://htmlcolorcodes.com/

    Let me know if this helps!

    Erica,

    Thank you for responding! I changed the background color and updated the CSS but it didn't change them. Do I need to remove each item from the sidebar and then add them back you think? Here is what I did below. I only changed the Background Color. I didn't mess with the color as I am assuming that is the font color which is fine as is.

    .widget-title {
    background-color: #d35400;
    color: #fff;
    font-family: Lato, sans-serif;
    font-size: 12px;
    font-size: 1.2rem;
    font-weight: 700;
    letter-spacing: 1px;
    margin-bottom: 30px;
    padding: 12px 15px;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    Erika,

    Scratch the above...I completely closed out of my site and went back and it had made the change! Yay!

    Thank you so much for your help!

    Awesome! I think what you were experiencing was a page caching issue 🙂
