I thought to share this knowledge, not sure if it's been posted before or not. I'm new to Genesis..

I too have struggled to customize the Post Meta for "Filed Under", "Tags" ect. I was adding the Snippets Code from the snippets page and using Simple Edits. Nothing seemed to work to change the default text. It seems as though disabling Simple Edits was the only work around. Then add the code to the function.php file.

I thought to try this and it works!

Go to Simple Edits > then add the code you see in the snippets code for the post meta you want to change placing it in the Entry Meta (above content or below content ) boxes.

For example, say you want to change the "Filed Under" text to read "Category" . You would place the following code in the Entry Meta box

    [post_categories before="Category: "]

This will change the Filed Under to read Category without the need for extra code in the functions.php file. 🙂

You could also add text prior to other Post Meta entries in the same manner. Hope this helps. Linda
