    Hello
I'm using a home page that I made with a custom page template. My template does utilize the header and footer, I just made my own 'middle sections' for the Home page. The footer widget areas remained as original from the child theme I made.

My question is why won't it pull in featured Posts with the widget with in the footer widget?

Yes, in the Reading Settings my front page is set to display a static page (that being the custom page template I made) , the blog post page is set up to a page I made called Blog (not using the blog page template, I don't want to use the blog template).

i'm just not understanding why the featured posts widget in the footer will not work... any ideas?

PS - using Genesis Modern Portfolio Pro > child theme

Using a coming soon plugin now so just FYI....

http://It has a Coming Soon plugin visible so
