    Hi there,

In the home top section of our website, we have featured our 'About' (Who are the nomads?) page. I'd like to show a custom excerpt here, but it seems in the widget I can only select to show 'X' number of characters from the beginning of the text on the page. I could put this custom text at the beginning of the page so that this is what will show, but I'd like to avoid it if possible. Is there a way to put a custom excerpt there?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Jess

    Hi,

Why not replace the (featured page) widget with a text widget, using simple HTML to show the image, text and appropriate links.

    Something like this to start:

    <a href="http://notesofnomads.com/about/"><img src="http://notesofnomads.com/wp-content/uploads/Trans-Mongolian-Beijing-to-Ulaanbaatar1-700x400.jpg" /></a>
This is my custom Excerpt. Ipsum corporato, progressively syndicate 24/365 internal or "organic" sources via orthogonal convergence. Competently grow competitive testing procedures through premier quality vectors. Authoritatively incubate sustainable e-services via multimedia based deliverables. Synergistically pursue cross-media leadership without top-line core competencies. Quickly embrace granular content for diverse intellectual.
