    Hi!

    I saw this website using the same theme I use in the showcase (eleven40 theme)

    http://belfryfellows.com/

    I am working on my site and cant figure out how to make a background like they did - and also how to make a different one for different pages - I found a plugin that will put in a background - but I have no clue what size pixels to make it - also I noticed the background they use has different sections

    Please enlighten me- I have spent 30 hrs trying to figure it out !!!

    Their background is 300x243

    http://belfryfellows.com/wp-content/themes/eleven40/images/old_wall.png

    Just put it in the CSS:

    body {
    background: url(images/old_wall.png);
    }

    Their file is 20k. I would have used a tiny file and used the "repeat" methodology... but 20k is not all that much.

    All you need is 72 dpi.

    Dev thank you very much for helping me out!! I used firebug and couldnt see that - how did u find it? do you think it includes the page breaks in color or are they different picture files. If you want different pictures for different pages - how do you add that into the css?

    Thanks again!

    I am really trying to learn so much new stuff!!!!

    🙂

    They do the footer by CSS:

    #footer-widgets {
    background: #ADA793 url(images/footer.png) repeat-x;
    clear: both;
    font-size: 14px;
    overflow: hidden;
    }

    Pretty basic stuff.
