    I am a beginner using the NewsPro theme. I want to change the site banner (the entire banner) to be a photo. I bought Design Palette Pro but it seems to only allow a background color or a smaller header image. I understand that I will need to add some CSS code to the style.css file of the theme. Has anyone already done this and could possibly share the code they used?

    Yes, I mean the header.

    The site is now live at blog.chesterton.com

    Thanks!

    Brad, thanks for link above. I am following it but am not seeing a full size image.

    On Opera I get a much reduced image, Same on Safari except Safari has the reduced image overlaying the site-title and tag-line.

    Line 1320 of style.css, change the value for the min-height like this:

    .header-image .site-title a {
    	background-position: top left !important;
    	background-size: contain !important;
    	float: left;
    	min-height: 250px;
    	width: 100%;
    }

    Brad, thanks for the response.

    That's worked, I'm just about there, must be some padding somewhere I'll look for. And the title still appears despite 'false' in the custom header block.

    I appreciate your help.

    Yes, i saw the padding. Shouldn't be too hard to remove as all the CSS for the header is in 1 section of the style sheet.

    Yep, thanks, all looking good.

    Last question, any idea how to hide the title, apart form just removing it from identity.

    Try

    .site-title {
        display: none
    }
