    Is it possible to use the built in landing page as my Home page and the parallax layout as a separate services page?

    Yes and there's different ways to do that.

    1. You can change the file names for page_landing.php and front-page.php

    2. Or you can use the template_include function conditionally in your functions.php file

    Apologize in advance for being a newbie, but can you give me a little more info on renaming the files in option 1.
    Do I rename them in the file manager and what do I rename them to?
    Thanks

    There's a bit more than simply renaming the files.

    Here's an example of how to use home page widgets on other pages http://wpsites.net/web-design/home-page-widgets-onother-pages/

    And here's a post about how to use templates on any page http://wpsites.net/web-design/use-landing-page-template-on-single-posts/

    These solutions will need modifying to work on different themes and can only be used as a guide.

    Thanks Brad - I figured it was a little more complicated than just renaming them. The tutorials were really helpful - I've got it set up that way I wanted.

    I went to look for this solution and found Mr Dalton is now charging a not too paltry sum of $37 a month for the privilege of getting the answer.

    Completely within the spirit of helping those less fortunate in the coding stakes on Studiopress - I think not.

    @geeibee

    Based on a recent survey taken each year by a member of the Genesis community, the average price paid for 1 hours work is over $80.

    Membership provides full support for all existing PHP code ( and access to over 3,000 snippets ) for $37 a month.

    There are other volunteers who may choose to provide custom code for free.
