ModeratorIf you want a premium contact form, I love Gravity Forms.
For a free plugin, I like Contact Form 7.December 4, 2013 at 10:48 am #76975Brad Dalton
ParticipantI like the contact form in Jetpack which you can drag out of the Module and install on its own.

MemberContact Form 7 on my website is not working right now. I just replaced it with Brad’s Jetpack suggestion. Thanks!
Sorry couldn’t help you Ana. I am not that much of a geek. You may want to contact, Automattic directly. Here is their support link: http://jetpack.me/support/.

MemberI've started using the free version of Formidable on a few client sites where Gravity Forms would have been overkill for their needs.
It's been easy to set up, and just works.

MemberYou might also check out Ninja Forms - I'm a diehard Gravity Forms fan, but I've heard great things about Ninja Forms (and it's free).

MemberHmmm, Ninja Forms has Pippin Williamson fingerprints on it. I may have to play with this plugin...

ParticipantDave Decker also developed Ninja forms so i'm sure it would work well with Genesis. http://wordpress.org/plugins/ninja-forms/

MemberI also like Jetpack's Contact Form but I just found out that this form does not work in Dev mode (not public site). So just tested Ninja Form and right away replaced the Jetpack one. Talk about wow. Always nice to find a helpful plugin. It even logs each submission to the database so you can use WordPress to view each form that was submitted.

ParticipantYou could use Slim Jetpack if you don't want to connect to a WordPress.com account.

MemberThanks for the info BRad. Yes, I may have to try that. Was hoping I could stick with a few good Jetpack plugins but not being able to completely set up a new website that is password protected even though Jetpack has dev mode means I may not be using it as much as I had originally thought. Guess there is a place and time for everything.

MemberTo the ones who use Ninja Forms - Are you guys able to drag & drop new fields to the pre-existing contact form that came within the plugin or and fields when creating a new forms?
After seeing some of you here raving about Ninja Forms I'm giving it a try but it won't let me drop any fields to the form. Is there an obvious setting that I'm missing? I follow the instructions on the video at the WP plugin's page with no results.
I even tested with the old 2012 theme and all other plugins disabled. Am I missing something obvious?

MemberAren't the Ninja Forms fields are click to add, not drag & drop? That's what I played with this morning, site running Genesis 2.0.1

Member@Summer God bless you! I knew I was missing something very obvious! On the plugin's page at WP the description starts with: "Forms created with a simple drag and drop interface"... that's what threw me off.

MemberToo funny... I didn't even bother to read the description, I just downloaded and started playing 🙂
I tried the click first, since that's what Gravity Forms does as well. I wonder if their older versions were drag and they switched it to click for some reason.

MemberProbably it was since even at the settings video if I recall he just drags & drops the fields into the right form area.
On another note... after playing with Ninja Forms since yesterday I think is by far the best and easiest forms plugin available. I created some multi-field forms in just a few minutes that I wasn't been able to create in CF 7. I think that this little plugin is comparable in features to the premium paid form plugins like Gravity. I've only found a small bug when you check the Ajax feature on a complex multi-field form but It works fine on a simple contact forms.
Love it! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
