    I am working with the updated version Monochrome Pro 1.2.0. I need to change the color of the heading and text for block one and block 3 with the 2 photographs behind the copy on the front page. I want to make the top copy a dark blue and the bottom copy white. Can someone tell me what CSS I should use? I am not understanding why they can’t just come up with a customized option in the righthand menu where I can do that when clicking on the block. Thanks in advance.

    Hi

    Inspect the element, find the CSS rule and change the value for the color property.

    I did that already...but I got this..

    element {
    text-align: left;
    }
    h1 {
    font-size: 36px;
    font-size: 3.6rem;
    }
    h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {
    font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    font-weight: 500;
    line-height: 1.5;
    }

    The color is inherited from the body but these lines are crossed off:

    body {
    color: #000;
    font-family: 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;
    font-size: 18px;
    font-size: 1.8rem;
    font-weight: 400;
    line-height: 1.875;
    }

    What do I paste the body code in the additional CSS, the whole thing...
    then change the #000 to the color of my choice?

    Try this:

    .post-177 h1 .color {
    color: #09368a!important;
    }

    .post-177 h5 .color {
    color: #fff!important;
    }

    Thanks Tanya but I found an easier way to do it. I added the Advanced Rich Text Tools for Gutenberg and that allowed me to change it easily without knowing code. This should have been written into the program to make it easier for designers in my opinion. I have spoken to StudioPress about it and they agreed. The person who created this plugin actually was a contributor to Gutenberg. Why he didn’t suggest to add this to the program I’ll never know. Anyway, I made the suggestion so StudioPress will follow through.
