MemberHello, I was hoping someone could help me out. The site is in the beginning stages at markliddelldesign.com/wordpress
For the Ambiance Pro homepage, I wanted to do a few things but don't know where to begin.
1. At the top, I wanted the Youtube video to extend to where the logo area is on the left, and the navigation is on the right. I set the youtube plugin to allow for full screen, but both it and the text widget seem to max out at the point where they are. So I'm sure this is a CSS issue of just plugging in a wider width, but I can't seem to find it. Can someone point me to where I need to go and what size I need it to be? I would also like the text widget below to extend out.
2. The second issue may be a bit more complex. It seems that with this theme, if you enter a post, the theme automatically puts it on the home page. It creates it in a two wide format. My client doesn't need any posts (doesn't like how the sub page looks), but would like to know if they can have the same feature with Featured Pages on the home page. So they basically want to feature 4 pages on the home page, each stacked two wide like the posts do. Right now when I put up a featured page, it just stacks on top of each either. Does anyone have a code or know of a widget that can accomplish this for me so I don't have to bother with the Posts?
Thanks so much in advance for your time!

Are you still looking for answers to this question? For #2 I recommend the Widget CSS Classes plugin, with the first widget set to one-half first, and the second set to one-half. The Pretty Darn Cute Design "Fun" theme uses this plugin to display featured images from pages, products, and posts on the homepage.

MemberThanks Susan. Since I wasn't getting much help, I decided to go with a template from a different developer. It's too bad, it seems that as Studiopress has gotten bigger, the forums and help have suffered. Thanks for your response though.

I will go ahead and close this thread, but if you decide to use Genesis in the future, understand:
Official StudioPress help is handled via tickets - anything related to getting your site setup to look and function like the demo can be done through "official support" (I've always had speedy responses for tickets I've submitted).
These support forums are manned by volunteers such as myself.
There is a Genesis FB group with about 5k members; it's a very active group with great response time for answering questions
There is also a Genesis Slack group for designers and developers.
So, lots of options for non-official support from fellow users.
