    Hello! Hoping someone can help me!

    How can I change the defaults of the Genesis Featured Posts widget? I want to remove the default post info to only display the date shortcode so that every time a client adds the widget to a widget area, they don't have to go back and delete the rest of the info ([post_date] By [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments]).

    I hope I'm making sense! Thank you!

    Yes, that makes sense. You would need to use a custom featured posts widget customized the way you want it. Take a look at this. If you need help with that, reach out to Sridhar directly.

    When you rewrite the widget, you'll need to modify the default args, specifically, the value for this default parameter 'post_info'

    from this :

    'post_info' => '[post_date] ' . __( 'By', 'genesis' ) . ' [post_author_posts_link] [post_comments]',

    To this :

    'post_info' => '[post_date]',
