    Hi,

    I'm trying to remove or change the transparent area on the images on Altitude home page.

    (Is this function called Transparency or something else??)

    I'd like to be able to remove or make it lighter for the top image.

    Would changing it affect all of the images?

    Thanks

    Wiz,

    It's actually a background (color) with reduced opacity that is overlays the actual background image, giving it a filtered appearance. It is defined by CSS in the child theme stylesheet at line 1216.

    The full snippet is:

    .image-section {
    	background: -moz-linear-gradient(top,  rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%, rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%, rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%, rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%);
    	background: -webkit-gradient(linear, left top, left bottom, color-stop(0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.2)), color-stop(30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5)), color-stop(80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8)), color-stop(100%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9)));
    	background: -webkit-linear-gradient(top,  rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%);
    	background: -o-linear-gradient(top,  rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%);
    	background: -ms-linear-gradient(top,  rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%);
    	background: linear-gradient(to bottom,  rgba(0,0,0,0.2) 0%,rgba(0,0,0,0.5) 30%,rgba(0,0,0,0.8) 80%,rgba(0,0,0,0.9) 100%);
    	filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient( startColorstr='#33000000', endColorstr='#e6000000',GradientType=0 );
    	display: table;
    	overflow: hidden;
    	table-layout: fixed;
    	width: 100%;
    }

    To remove it from the first image place this CSS at the bottom of the "Front Page" section of the stylesheet.

    .front-page-1 .image-section {
        background: none;
    }

    You can make your own background overlay by editing the full snippet above or using this CCS gradient generator, or something similar: http://www.cssmatic.com/gradient-generator
