    Hi gang!

I want to change the tagline area to a email optin under my slider area. (attaching a picture for reference)

I've added opt ins before like this with placing a the opt in text in a widget.

So how would I go about doing that?

I wrote about that recently. http://wpsites.net/web-design/add-minimum-pro-tagline-widget-to-any-theme/

You could also use the Genesis eNews widget in the tagline widget area.

Thanks Brad! Your tutorials are awesome.

I just went ahead and added the eNews widget. And now trying to style it inline.

I've added the CSS to it that I thought should make it go inline, but it's not budging. I have styled the tagline widget area and the enews widget. Could you tell me what I am missing?

    Thanks @moxiegirl

I think i included the CSS code to make the button and input display inline in that tutorial.

You're right. You did. Sorry for the dumb question. 🙂

Not dumb, it took me a while to work out how to dispaly them inline as my CSS knowledge at the time wasn't the best.

Use firebug if needed and change the width percentages.

    Brad,

Would this allow for me to change that section for displaying the site tagline to just being able to drop a text widget in and display whatever text i wanted in that widget area?

Or is this code specifically for email signup through the enews widget?

    You can use any widget.

You could also modify the code so it uses a custom field rather than a widget which enables you to add unique content to every page or post in that position. I did write the code for this also but haven't finished with the styling yet.
