    Currently the default layout is selected as

    secondary sidebar / content / primary sidebar

    But that layout only appears behind the from page in single post single page view.

    The home page layout is

    content / primary sidebar

    I want to change the front page to be

    primary sidebar / content

    But don't (cant't) see a way to do this within admin. IS there a snip I can put into functions.php and how would it look.

    I want the sidebar on left as this is where the buddy press and forum plugins are and I want mobile viewers to see that first instead of having to scroll down down down. I've noticed responsive goes left to right.

    Funny how this one comes up a lot 🙂 It's hard-coded in your theme files.

    In front-page.php, change

    // Force content-sidebar layout setting
    add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );

    to

    // Force content-sidebar layout setting
    //add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );
