Change Homepage Fonts for Magazine Theme

I imagine I am missing something fairly simple, but after both I and a friend have spent hours, we just can't figure out how to change the fonts (type, name, size) on the homepage and widget areas of the Genesis Magazine theme. The plugin "Genesis Design Palette" seems to work for changing fonts everywhere else, except in these two places. Any advice is most appreciated!

You have to actually use the Style.css to do that. You can use Firebug to target the specific area you want to change.
