I set up the category page as instructed:

    http://my.studiopress.com/tutorials/category-blog-page/

Here is my page using Category Blog Page
    http://upstairsdownstairscleaning.com/house-cleaning-tips/

It is missing the title, description as a regular category page:
    http://upstairsdownstairscleaning.com/category/chicago-activities/

How can i edit the content above the posts when using the category blog page?

I am right in assuming you have found how to add the title and Description tags?

If you edit the category itself you will find a section called "Category Archive Settings"

Fill in the whatever it is you want to add.

Failing that you could use a bespoke archive.php page or use one of the Genesis hooks with conditional tags.
