On this site I am using the Genesis framework and a modified version of the Magazine theme. When I try to set a static page as the homepage it doesn't work. The setting indicates that it's changed but the actual homepage is showing all my posts. I disabled all of the plugins and the issue persisted. I changed the theme and it fixed the problem so it must be something related to the theme. Please help!

If you'd like for the home page to be a different page, you will need to drag all of the widgets out of the widget areas. The home or front page is executed when Front Page widgets are populated. Drag them all out and your static page should appear.
