Hi, I feel silly because every article I find about "sticky post" talks about how not to show sticky posts, or how to show it in each category. But my problem is I cannot get sticky post to stick at all.

I use the FoodiePro "Featured Post" widget. Even though I've made a post "sticky", it doesn't show up as the first post. Am I missing something?

Sticky posts only work in the loop and not in the widget unless it includes a setting to make it sticky. The widget uses its own loop.

Sorry, my bad. If you make a post sticky using the Visibility settings in the Publish box, it will stick to the top of the loop when using the Foodie Pro featured posts widget. I just tested it.

Thank you for testing it out, Brad. The problem is mine doesn't work for some reason.

I notice that in my Foodie Pro featured post widget, I don't have the "Exclude sticky post?" option that I saw in articles describing how it worked. I only have the "Exclude Previously Displayed Posts?" option. Does that make a difference?

You want to exclude the sticky post?

No, I want to include the sticky post but can't seem to do that. The fact that I don't have the "Exclude sticky post" option also implies I can't "Include" either. But everywhere and everyone else says I should be able to. I don't know what I'm missing... I've updated Genesis and WordPress...

Foodie Pro is a third party theme and not one developed by Studio Press developers. The developer decided to unregister the default Genesis Featured Post widget that does support sticky posts in favor of her own Foodie Pro featured Posts, where she removed support for sticky posts. Since this is a custom widget, you should probably reach out to the developer to ask her to include support for sticky posts. http://www.shaybocks.com/foodie-pro/

The alternatives are to modify the child theme to use the Genesis Featured Post widget or copy the Foodie Pro widget and add your own support for sticky posts.

I want to change my current wordpress theme to Magazine pro theme, my question is: is there any option in your theme to specify which post to stay on featured slider?

I'm using smartmag theme and it has that features but I want to switch to your theme so badly

    My website is: Magento explorer
