    I use a lot of Genesis child themes for my customers projects so....

    Lately I've been reading a lot about this new Calypso; and I'm wondering how will this affect someone whom uses Genesis based child themes for their clients. (in the future )

    Now I REALIZE that right now probably nothing because it seems like at the moment it's only for wordpress.COM sites as a new way to manage the these sites; but I also know that this type of change always dribbles over and I'm sure self-hosted sites will be affected in the end. I'm looking for specifically how this will affect my using Genesis child themes and how it will affect my learning and utilizing php. I don't want to be spending time perfecting / learning something that I won't end up using...
