I’d like to use a WP/StudioPress theme for my business website and within that site have a blog. Currently I have my blog set up in its own database within the business’s html_public.

Can I use the same database and theme for both? I’m interested in Business Pro but using one layout for the business website and another for the blog.

WordPress has blogging functionalities built in.

Your current website already has a blog. Go to Posts -> add new.

Thanks Andrea for your help. My current website has a blog, however I have it set up as two distinct WP frameworks. The blog’s framework is within the website’s. I’d like to streamline and have one within the other, using the same framework. When searching online, I’m finding different ways of doing this; using page, using categories and page, using Multisite. I’m looking for the most efficient way to do this and if the Business Pro theme supports such.

Anyone have an opinion on this? What’s the most efficient way to have a blog within a WP website?

As Andrea already said, WordPress has blog functionality. Add your new posts and categorize them. You can display blog posts on individual category pages.
